Animal Arts Academy Grooming Indemnity

  1. The Owner warrants and represents that the pet has taken all the vaccinations required by law, and that the pet is healthy, is not aggressive and has no injuries or wounds which needs to be brought to attention of Animal Arts Academy (“AAA”). The Owner acknowledges and agrees that AAA has
    accepted to perform the services in reliance of the Owner’s warranty and representation.
  2. If the pet is hurt or ill, the Owner hereby irrevocably and unconditionally grants AAA permission to take the pet to a veterinarian of AAA’s choice if the Owner’s preferred veterinarian which has been expressly made known to AAA is inaccessible or unavailable. All transport, veterinarian fees and
    medical expenses are to be borne by and paid promptly by the Owner.
  3. AAA will not be held responsible or liable for any sickness, injury or death to the pet whilst under AAA’s care and control except due to AAA’s willful default Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, AAA will not be held responsible or liable for clipper burns and/or minor nicks resulting
    from grooming of matted, neglected coats or for irritation caused by removing coats from pets with skin allergies.
  4. AAA reserves the right to charge additional fees for services AAA considers over and above the norm covered by AAA’s standard rates. AAA also reserves the right to refuse service to owners whose pets may pose a threat to AAA’s staff or to the other pets left in AAA’s care, whether it be an aggression problem, health problem, or parasite problems.
  5. The Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AAA and its staff from and against all losses, damages, claims, actions, proceedings, fines, demands, costs (including legal costs on an indemnity basis) and expenses that AAA and/or its staff may suffer, incur or be subjected to as a result of or in connection with any breach by the Owner of these terms and conditions, or where caused or contributed by the pet.
  6. In the event of any claim against AAA and/or its staff, the Owner agrees that AAA’s liability will be capped at and limited to the value of the services performed on the pet.
  7. Cancellation & No Show Policy: AAA’s policy is that owners who do not show up or cancel appointments with less than a 24 hours’ notice will not be allowed to make another appointment until the owner pays the full cost of the one they missed.
  8. Owners who are repeat clients having signed the terms and conditions herein, once are deemed to have knowledge of and accepted these terms and conditions even if they do not sign this form on subsequent visits.
  9. Posted rates are indicative pricing. They may vary after inspection of the Owner's pet. Actual rates are determined prior to commencement of a grooming service. The Owner will be advised on the final grooming charges prior to the service being rendered.
  10. I agree that I have read, understood and accept the above terms and conditions. I understand that my pet, my guests, or I may be videotaped or photographed and that these images become the property of Animal Arts Academy, and I irrevocably consent to the use of these images thereof at Animal Arts Academy’s discretion. If I am not the owner of the pet, I warrant and represent that I am duly authorised by the owner to engage AAA to perform the services on the pet.
